Last week's projects included custom, handmade cards for two special humans in my life. I crafted these in honor of their birthdays and sent them via snail mail, given I sadly won't get the chance to gift them in person with the current quarantine situation at hand (insert heartbreak emoji here). I've been gravitating to this vertical fold design for a lot of my card projects as of late and I don't foresee myself stopping anytime soon (!) I love this approach for its simplicity and tie detail being prominently displayed on the front. In these, I opted for thin jute rope bows to add a feminine touch and to call more attention to the fastening. This style also lends itself well to sending via a standard #10 envelope. When I'm feeling extra, I try and customize the envelopes for my cards - this time around, my kraft envelope stock pile prevailed.

Happiest of birthdays to my ladies! Liz and Mena, I love you dearly.
